B. Braun Group Strengthens
OT Security with Octoplant

Following the successful completion of a large-scale project, AMDT has strengthened the B. Braun Group's production landscape. As part of a Europe-wide rollout, Octoplant, the world’s leading OT security software, will now ensure consistently high OT data quality across multiple manufacturing sites. This project is a significant step forward in securing industrial infrastructures in a sustainable way.

By implementing Octoplant, B. Braun has created a centralized foundation for transparency, traceability, and stability in its operational technology (OT) environment. The solution also supports the prevention of cybercrime and reinforces organizational and technical readiness for upcoming EU regulatory requirements, including NIS2.

The key factors behind the decision to deploy Octoplant included:

  • A standardized backup strategy for all critical OT assets
  • Reliable version control for changes in automation systems
  • Complete transparency of plant assets and configuration states
  • Full auditability throughout the OT landscape

These capabilities work together to sustainably improve data quality and significantly increase the resilience of production environments.

"We would like to thank B. Braun for their trust in Octoplant and for the successful Europe-wide rollout last year. Special thanks go to Jens Gerlach, OT Network & Security Specialist at B. Braun, for his constructive and collaborative partnership,” said AMDT CEO Stefan Jesse.

This project is a prime example of how modern OT management approaches can be implemented on a large scale within complex, international production networks. This enables companies to address security objectives, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency simultaneously.
