Dr. Christopher Neumann joins the Executive Board and assumes responsibility for Product, Innovation and R&D.
Landau, Germany, September 1, 2026. We are expanding our Executive Board with the appointment of Dr. Christopher Neumann as Chief Product Officer (CPO). In this role, he will be responsible for Product, Innovation and R&D. By bringing these key functions together under one Executive Board mandate, we are connecting product strategy more closely with technological execution.
The new structure strengthens the link between customer needs, market requirements, product strategy and technological execution. It is designed to accelerate the translation of innovation into products and capabilities and to further align the development of Octoplant and Octovision with the needs of industrial customers.
Christopher combines a deep understanding of software markets and product strategy with extensive experience in value creation and technology strategy. By bringing Product, Innovation and R&D under one leadership mandate, we are creating a clear connection from market requirements to technological execution. This is an important step in advancing our growth and innovation ambitions for Octoplant and Octovision.
Neumann joins AMDT from Bain & Company, where he most recently served as an Associate Partner in the Private Equity Group in Munich. He advised institutional and strategic investors as well as software portfolio companies on corporate strategy, M&A, product strategy and value creation, along with commercial, operational and technology topics. His work had a particular focus on industrial software and cybersecurity.
At AMDT, Neumann will further develop the product strategy based on deep customer and market insight and translate it into technological execution together with Innovation and R&D. He brings experience from numerous strategy and value creation projects, particularly in product strategy and roadmap development, as well as in assessing the opportunities created by artificial intelligence.
Neumann studied business administration at the Universities of Münster, Zurich and Mannheim, as well as Bocconi University in Milan. He earned his PhD from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
