The license for your AutoSave system is obtained via the MDT Broker. The Broker is our licensing utility that transmits your request for a license to MDT and installs the license file automatically. In order to obtain the license for your system you must have a MDT Site ID. This ID is provided by your MDT sales partner and is the unique identifier of your system going forward.
Installing the Broker only takes a few minutes. Simply select “Install AutoSave Broker” from the start-up menu on your AutoSave Installation CD (version 5.06.01 or later). The first step in using the Broker is to enter your Site ID. After your Site ID is entered, simply follow the steps shown on the Broker display.
The Broker interface is designed to allow for flexible configuration by the user as well as provide a simple, graphic depiction of the steps required to install or change your license.
